Valuing staff equally

All staff should be given the opportunity to progress regardless of their professional background. If they have the skills to move into management this should be recognised. Ward & service managers for example are super-enumerative and could therefore represent any background.

I agree, I work across 2 CCGs working in the complex children arena, there is no progression, I have no team despite increasing referrals and complex cases to manage. It doesnt seem to be a priority area, whereas it seems to all be focussed on 18+ year olds. No funds for cpd eg university courses only mandatory training. Stuck in a root trying to get others to see the importance of getting it right from the outset not just when reaching adulthood or older age.
